In a declaration read out in the plenary hall during the opening of Parliament's winter session, GERB-UDF Deputy Floor Leader Temenuzhka Petkova said that the two major tasks for the past plenary session have been fulfilled: the adoption of amendments to the Constitution that lay the foundations for judicial reform, and the adoption of the 2024 budget. "This is a gradual return to the normal functioning of the state," she added.

"A priority for the current plenary session is to work on the Recovery and Resilience Plan and to put efforts toward [Bulgaria's] full-fledged membership in Schengen and the euro area," Petkova noted, adding that a successful rotation in the Cabinet will also be at the centre of GERB-UDF's attention.
