Vazrazhdane MPs tried to switch off the sound system in the debating chamber while Energy Committee Chair Delyan Dobrev was reading a report on draft amendments to the Act on Control over the Application of the Restrictive Measures in View of Russia's Actions Destabilizing the Situation in Ukraine.
MPs of Vazrazhdane and Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) MPs Jordan Tzonev and Delyan Peevski clashed. Petar Petrov MP of Vazrazhdane asked for an adjournment of the extraordinary sitting.
The sitting was opened as the minimum quorum of 121 lawmakers present. Tsveta Rangelova MP of Vazrazhdane said that her parliamentary group will continue to block access to the rostrum until the normalization of Parliament's business.
Addressing the issue, GERB-UDF Floor Leader Desislava Atanasova moved that the MPs speak from their seats. The National Assembly carried the motion.
