site.btaCollege of European Public Prosecutor's Office Appoints Two European Delegated Prosecutors in Bulgaria

The College of European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) approved the appointment of Anna Kamenova и Monika Mihaylova-Mitova as European Delegated Prosecutors (EDPs) in Bulgaria, shows a Decision published on the institution's website on Thursday and adopted on December 11.

The Prosecutors Chamber of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) nominated seven EDPs on October 13, but only the nominations of Kamenova and Mihaylova-Mitova were approved. 

For nearly two years, Bulgaria has been failing to fill the country’s quota at the EPPO of 15 EDPs. In the first procedure for nominating EDPs, the SJC nominated only four candidates. In the second procedure, five were nominated. In the third procedure in 2022, there were no candidates. In the fourth procedure, the SJC nominated three candidates and another three quit.
