site.btaCabinet Approves BGN 267,300 for Gifted Students' Scholarships

The Council of Ministers Thursday approved BGN 267,300 for the payment of 370 scholarships under a programme of measures for the protection of gifted children enrolled in public, municipal and private schools in 2023, the Government Information Service said.

Gifted children are entitled to a monthly grant of BGN 135.

BGN 167,940 will be allocated to 45 municipalities' budgets following requests received by the Education and Science Ministry for the payment of 259 scholarships in the fourth quarter of 2022.

BGN 9,450 are earmarked for scholarships for private school students following 11 orders issued by the Education Minister.

BGN 89,100 will be disbursed for 98 scholarships intended for public school students.

Additionally, BGN 810 are approved for the scholarships of two students attending the Electronic Systems Technology School at the Technical University of Sofia.
