site.btaCabinet Allocates Some BGN 800,000 for Families with Children Left out of Kindergartens

The Cabinet allocated Thursday BGN 783,279 to compensate families of children for whom a place in kindergarten is not provided for the period from 1 July to 14 September 2023.

BGN 780,897 of this amount is intended to compensate parents for the costs of raising and educating 899 children in Sofia Municipality. BGN 1,283 will be paid to the families of two children in Plovdiv Municipality. BGN 1,099 is allocated to compensate for one child who is not admitted to kindergarten in Rodopi Municipality.

Parents of children from the age of three until their entry into first grade who are not admitted to state or municipal kindergartens or schools to which they have applied are entitled to compensation from the state. They have not been offered an equivalent place in a municipal kindergarten or school by their municipality of residence.
