site.btaInterior Ministry Secretary General Reveals "Joint Exploitations Related to EU Funds Absorption"
"We are working exceedingly vigorously with the European Public Prosecutor's Office. Last week we had joint exploitations with the State Agency for National Security and with the Commission for Illegal Assets Forfeiture in connection with EU funds absorption," Bulgarian Interior Ministry Secretary General Zhivko Kotsev commented to the media here on Wednesday.
He specified that "millions are involved" and arrests have been made.
The word Kotsev used was "realizatsiya", a term borrowed in Bulgarian from Russian, where it was used in KGB documents to refer to "taking steps for the logical conclusion of an investigation and making it possible to exploit its results for the intended purpose." According to Vasily Mitrokhin's KGB Lexicon, the English equivalent is "exploitation".
