The ground in the mountains is wet and slippery, with snow on the high-lying areas, the Mountain Rescue Service told BTA.

Hikers should be mindful of the winter conditions and be well equipped.

The lift facilities in the mountain resorts will not be available until the start of the winter season.

It will be mostly sunny in the mountains, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said. The wind will be west-southwesterly, moderate up to strong at the highest peaks. Highs: 16C at 1,200 m, around 9C at 2,000 m.
