There is no danger to the crew of the Bulgarian bulk carrier Rojen, which is in the Israeli port of Ashdod, Alexander Kalchev, CEO of Rojen’s shipowner - Navigation Maritime Bulgare shipping company (Navibulgar), told BTA on Monday.
Kalchev explained that there were no military activities in the port area and the security level was normal. The port is also protected by air defense, he said.
Rojen will remain in the port of Ashdod until it is unloaded. The end of the unloading depends on the weather conditions, as the vessel is loaded with bulk cargo.
The vessel has a crew of 19, all of them Bulgarians, Kalchev added.
