site.btaPresident Radev, Austrian Counterpart Van der Bellen Meet in New York

The second day of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev's programme at the UN in New York started with a meeting with his Austrian counterpart Alexander Van der Bellen.

Austria is an integral factor for Bulgaria's accession to the Schengen area. Vienna, for the time being, continues its opposition to Bulgaria's membership.

Radev's programme on Tuesday includes two more meetings - with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani and with the President of Moldova Maia Sandu.

On Tuesday evening, Radev will attend a reception that US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host to honour heads of state and their wives on the occasion of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
