site.btaInterior Minister: Nearly 900,000 Ukrainian Refugees Entered Bulgaria in 2023
Between January and August 25, 2023, a total of 859,334 citizens of Ukraine have entered Bulgaria, and 825,760 have left the country, Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov said at question time in Parliament on Friday.
He added that 166,998 Ukrainian refugees were registered for temporary protection, of whom more than 54,000 were children and 589 were unaccompanied minors.
Stoyanov gave the information in response to a question from MP Emil Yankov on the number and privileges of Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria.
