site.btaDefence Minister Meets with Representatives of Defence Industry Association

Defence Minister Todor Tagarev Wednesday met with the co-chairs of the Acad. Stefan Vodenicharov Bulgarian Defence Industry Association: Samel-90 AD Executive Director Petar Georgiev, OPTIX AD Executive Director Petar Cholakov, and Dunarit AD Executive Director Petar Petrov, the Defence Ministry said in a press release. They discussed matters related to the deepening of the cooperation between the Defence Ministry and the enterprises of the Bulgarian defence industry in the process of rearmament and modernization of the Armed Forces, strengthening of the Bulgarian defence industrial base and its integration in the Euro-Atlantic defence industrial base.

Also attending the meeting were Deputy Defence Minister Stanimir Georgiev and Dobromir Totev, Chef de Cabinet of Defence Minister Tagarev.

Participating in the Acad. Stefan Vodenicharov Bulgarian Defence Industry Association are 16 companies that are key for the industrial and technological base of Bulgaria's defence. They employ over 35,000 people.
