Borislav Muerov has been appointed Executive Director of the Automobile Administration Executive Agency, the Ministry of Transport and Communications said in a press release on Tuesday. He replaces Boyko Ranovski as of August 8.
Muerov joined the Interior Ministry's system in 1991. He worked as platoon commander at 5th precinct of the Sofia Directorate of Interior, group commander and head of the Guard Police at 7th precinct, head of the Guard Police at the Sofia Directorate of Interior, and head of the Regional Directorate of Interior in Gabrovo (North Central Bulgaria).
On May 31, 2021, he was appointed deputy director of the Sofia Directorate of Interior. On June 18, 2021, he became Deputy Director of the National Police General Directorate.
