Forty-four illegal migrants were found in a cargo truck, stopped by police officers for inspection in Burgas around 3 am on Monday morning, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas said.

The migrants were found in the semi-trailer of the truck with Turkish registration, driven by a 33-year-old Romanian citizen. They identified themselves as Afghans. The driver is unlicensed; he was tested for alcohol and drug use. The tests were negative.

On July 10, there was another case of eighteen Afghans found in a specially built cache in a truck.
