Parliament will vote on Thursday at first reading on proposed amendments to the Roads Act.
Also on the agenda are several hearings. MPs will question Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov on the agreements signed with the Turkish company Botas, their impact on public gas supplier Bulgargaz, and the need to renegotiate the terms. The hearing was requested by GERB-UDF MP Delyan Dobrev.
Another hearing will involve Regional Development and Public Works Minister Ivan Ivanov, Interior Minister Daniel Mitov, Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) Chair Yordan Valchev, and Road Safety Agency Deputy Chair Malina Krumova. They are expected to address the poor condition of multiple sections of the national road network, where traffic accidents are frequent due to inadequate road maintenance and poor traffic organisation. The request came from Petar Petrov of Vazrazhdane and a group of MPs.
Health Minister Silvi Kirilov will brief Parliament on the current state of organ transplants in Bulgaria and the use of funds by the Executive Agency for Medical Supervision under the 2024–2028 National Programme for Promoting Organ Donation and Supporting Transplants. The hearing was initiated by Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) MPs Vasil Pandov and Alexander Simidchiev.
Lawmakers are also expected to hear Youth and Sports Minister Ivan Peshev regarding the unusual draw of the number 41 in the 5/35 lottery game operated by the Bulgarian Sports Totalizator. The hearing was requested by Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) MPs Aleksandar Todorov, Hristo Rastashki and Kiril Veselinski.
