Six soldiers were killed on Monday in a collision of two military helicopters in the Isparta Province of Southwestern Turkiye, said Isparta Governor Abdullah Erin, quoted by the state-run TRT-Haber television.
One of the helicopters crashed near a gas station in the town of Keciborlu, CNN-Turk television reported.
The other helicopter managed to land without problems.
According to information from the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, the injured soldier was hospitalized in serious condition, but later died despite the efforts of doctors.
Abdullah Erin pointed out that the incident with the military helicopters occurred during training flights.
An investigation has been launched into the case.
Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus expressed his condolences over the deaths of the soldiers.
