Traffic is heavy at some border crossing points (BCPs) along Bulgaria's border with Romania, the Border Police General Directorate said. The information is up to date as of 6 am on Saturday morning.

Traffic is heavy at the Kardam and Somovit BCPs at the exit for trucks.

Due to major repairs on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse, a temporary traffic organization has been introduced, with traffic in one lane with a through traffic regime and regulated by traffic lights. In addition to the Ruse border crossing, drivers in the region can also head to the Silistra, Kardam, Durankulak, Kainardzha and Krushari BCPs. The last two have opening hours from 8 am to 8 pm every day and no trucks are allowed through them.

The Danube Bridge repairs, conducted for the first time since 1954, began on July 10 this year and are going according to schedule. Ruse Regional Governor Dragomir Draganov said on Saturday that work will only pause in extreme weather conditions.

Traffic on the border with Greece is normal. Only cars and vans are allowed to pass through the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad border crossings.
Traffic is also normal at all border crossing points along the border with Serbia, Turkiye and North Macedonia.

Between 9 pm on November 16 and 7 am on November 17, the Turkish customs administration will not be processing cargo vehicles through the Lesovo and Kapitan Andreevo BCPs due to the introduction of a new information system. This will not affect passenger traffic, cars and buses will be allowed through.
