General Director of the National History Museum of Romania Ernest Oberlander requested more and deeper cooperation with Bulgaria and Bulgarian museums during an interview in the National Press Club of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) in Bucharest on Monday during the presentation of the October issue of the LIK magazine, dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the founding of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) and the two-year anniversary of the opening of BTA's National Press Club in Bucharest.

"The National History Museum has and wants to have broader and deeper ties with Bulgarian museums", Oberlander said, adding that in 2022 the Romanian National History Museum hosted the exhibition "The Treasure of Sveshtari: Gold of the Thracians South of the Danube" - a very important scientific and cultural event in the relations between the two countries. "I hope that in the future we will have more collaborations and be partners in important research and cultural projects," Ernest Oberlander said.

He expressed his joy at the occasion of the event, to which he was invited - the establishment of a Bulgarian literary society. "In my opinion, the 19th century was a golden century for Bulgaria. In the 19th century the Bulgarian society had new successes and one of them was the establishment of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences," he said.
