site.btaWorld Bank and Turkiye Sign Agreement for USD 1 Bln to Support Use of Renewable Energy Sources
The Turkish government and the World Bank signed an agreement to implement a programme worth USD 1 billion, reported the Turkish economic newspaper Dunya.
The programme will support the establishment and expansion of the solar energy market in Turkiye, as well as the battery energy storage pilot programme in support of the country's National Energy Plan.
The Development and Investment Bank of Turkiye and the Industrial Development Bank of Turkiye will implement the programme.
