Bulgarians were the third largest group of tourists in Turkiye in January - February 2024, with a total of 345,000 visiting during the period, according to statistics put out by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism Friday.

The figures show a 12% increase of foreign tourists in January and February from the same time in 2023, to a total of 4,341,606. The February figure was 2,294,579, which is 22.68% up from this time last year.

Iran and Russia topped the list of countries of origin of the visiting tourists, with the total number at 437,900 and 433,600 respectively. Following Bulgaria's third place with 345,301 visitors comes Germany with 330,000.
