site.btaMontenegro to Strengthen Presence in Eastern Part of NATO, Including Bulgaria and Latvia

Montenegro will strengthen its presence on NATO's eastern flank, Defence Minister Dragan Krapovic said after meeting with the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, on Tuesday. Krapovic told local media Montenegro would have troops in NATO's multinational battlegroups in Latvia and Bulgaria and would continue to send troops to Kosovo and Iraq.

Montenegro should increase its defence spending, Krapovic said, adding that more than 2% of this year's GDP would be spent on defence.
