October 17 (BTA) - President Rumen Radev vetoed part of
the amendments to the State Property Act which were approved by
the National Assembly on October 10, the President's press
secretariat reported on Wednesday.

Radev reasoned that the amendments challenged by him create an
opportunity for covert privatization of companies figuring on
the "no privatization" list.

He said it is unacceptable for a legislative decision to harm
the public interests instead of protecting them. RY/VE
