Interior Minister Daniel Mitov Tuesday told journalists that in view of the objective circumstances, the outcome of the no-confidence vote is nothing to worry about. He was asked if he saw a cause for concern in the motion of no confidence in the Rosen Zhelyazkov government, which will be debated in Parliament on Wednesday.

Three of the opposition groups - Vazrazhdane, MECh and Velichie - moved for a vote of no-confidence against the government over its foreign policy on March 26.

In Mitov's words, it is impossible to register a persistent failure in foreign policy or any other policy just over two months after a government has been elected. In his view, persistent issues require more time to manifest.

Asked what GERB-UDF will do if the Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (DRF) – MRF parliamentary group decides to withdraw its support for the government, Mitov said this would be decided by the Joint Governance Council. He could not say if the Council would meet on Tuesday.

The collective leadership bodies of the Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (DRF) – MRF parliamentary group are discussing on Tuesday if the group should stay with the ruling majority and keep supporting the cabinet of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.
