site.btaFirst Direct Flight from Abu Dhabi Lands in Varna

The first passengers on a direct flight from Abu Dhabi landed on Monday at Varna Airport. The airport director Dimitar Kostadinov pointed out that 183 people arrived on a plane of the company Wiz Air, and now 228 passengers are taking off from Varna to the United Arab Emirates.

The line from the Bulgarian seaside city to Abu Dhabi will be year-round. Flights will be operated three times a week. Kostadinov said that by the end of the year, passengers on this route are expected to reach 50,000.

To welcome the first direct flight from Abu Dhabi, the regional governor Andriyana Andreeva, deputy mayor Snezhana Apostolova, representatives of the airline operating the line came to the airport. Among the greeters was the CEO of the concessionaire of the airports in Varna and Burgas "Fraport Twin Star Airport Management" Frank Kwante.
