Bulgarian visual artist Raya Korkut is presenting a new exhibition at the Arosita Gallery in Sofia. The exhibition "2&200" will be on display from March 20 to April 4, the organizers said.

"It takes darkness to see a silhouette. The directed spotlight is the directed attention of the viewer. The shadow of the drawing changes depending on the light. The significance of a work changes depending on the attention it receives," says the artist.

Raya Korkut graduated with honours from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with a Master's degree in Painting and Visual Arts. In 2020, after 12 years in Vienna, she returned to Sofia, where she set up her own studio. Korkut has received numerous international art awards, some of them from India, Denmark, USA, Italy, Tehran and Egypt, and she has arranged solo exhibitions in Sofia and Vienna.
