Renegotiation of Bulgaria's membership in the European Union was demanded on Wednesday in a declaration on behalf of the Vazrazhdane group by the party's leader Kostadin Kostadinov. In his words, Bulgaria's EU membership, in its current state, does not serve the interests of this country.

At the beginning of the declaration, Kostadinov showed a video clip of a "horrific massacre" which, in his words, happened with the support, cooperation and approval of the EU. "A massacre which, according to various estimates, sent between 1,000 and 7,000 Christians to their deaths in Syria, a massacre which was welcomed by the EU, with the victims being blamed for the bloody crimes committed by the jihadist government in Syria. As a matter of fact, according to the European Commission, the jihadist government has put down a rebellion, only there is an awful lot of evidence on the internet of how the so-called rebels, who are mainly Christians and are mainly women, children and old people," Kostadinov pointed out.
