Loud explosions were heard in Odesa on Friday as the Ukrainian city came under drone attack for fourth consecutive night, Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov wrote on Telegram.

Regional authorities have urged residents to seek refuge in bomb shelters until the air raid alert is lifted.

More than 10 drones coming from the Black Sea hit Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdenne [formerly Yuzhny], according to local Telegram channels.

Odesa Region is home to the third largest community of expatriate Bulgarians, numbering more than 150,000 people, according to an official population census in Ukraine in 2001. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the regional capital, Odesa, while others are concentrated in the districts of Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
