site.btaThree Men Arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute 205.5 kg of Marijuana

Plovdiv District Prosecutor's Offices (DPO) has charged and arrested three men for possession with intent to distribute 205.5 kg of marijuana worth over BGN 4 million, the state prosecution service reported on Thursday. The arrests were conducted by the General Directorate for Combating Organised Crime near the village of Razhevo Konare, South Central Bulgaria, on Tuesday.

The drug was found in a parked Fiat van and a Mercedes passenger car.

The accused were detained for up to 72 hours by order of the supervising prosecutor. The DPO will submit a request to the court on Friday to set a detention order against them.

Another police raid conducted in Plovdiv and the region between February 20 and 23 resulted in more controlled or illicit substances being seized, including canisters with 3.6 litres of nitrous oxide, 170 g of designer drugs, 72 g of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and amphetamine.
