Serious disruptions in public transportation are expected across Italy on February 24 due to a planned nationwide strike by the USB Lavoro Privato union, Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry reported on its website Friday.

Metro, bus, and tram services in cities across the country may experience cancellations, delays, or interruptions.

Although the railway strike initially scheduled for February 22-23 has been cancelled, delays and cancellations of Trenord and Trenitalia trains are possible.

The MFA advises travellers to check updated schedules and consider alternative transportation options.
