site.bta Poor Mountain Hiking Conditions on Monday

The conditions for tourism in the mountains are not good on Monday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MSS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross told BTA.

The weather is cloudy, foggy and snowing. Temperatures are between -8C and -3C.

The facilities at the resorts are working, the slopes are functional, but it is cloudy and snowing there too.

On Sunday, a team from MRS - Borovets helped a skier who lost consciousness, and he was transported to the Sofia St. Anna Hospital.

The weather in the mountains on Monday will be cloudy with snowfall, with a moderate southeasterly wind and a strong westerly wind in the highest parts, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said. Highs: -1C at 1,200m, -4C at 2,000m.
