site.bta2025 State Budget Bill to Be Tabled in Parliament within Ten Days - Deputy PM Zafirov

The 2025 State Budget Bill will be tabled in Parliament within ten days, Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov told journalists here on Monday. "There are two main obstacles to the budget: the amount of pension indexation and the financing of the investment programme of municipalities. We are working actively," he said.

In his words, the topic is on the agenda of Tuesday's meeting of the Joint Governance Council. "We will comment and look for solutions," Zafirov added. 

He reiterated that the state budget will protect all social rights of citizens, will not raise taxes, will not compromise on promised salary increases for various categories of employees, including those who are enshrined in law.

The Deputy Prime Minister was in Kyustendil for a working meeting with the local authorities.
