site.btaIsperih Mayor, Turkish Diplomats Discuss Cooperation to Develop Area

Business development opportunities were discussed during a working meeting between the Turkish Ambassador to Bulgaria Mehmet Sait Uyanik, Tolga Orkun, Consul General of the Republic of Turkiye in Burgas, and Isperih Mayor Belgin Shukri, the Isperih Municipality administration reported on Monday. The talks focused on Isperih's socio-economic condition and on future cooperation to develop the area.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Mayors Aksel Kyuchuk and Arif Ahmed, and the Municipal Council Chair Beyti Bekir.

Shukri thanked the Turkish delegation for the support offered by Turkiye after the village of Lavino, near Isperih, was struck by natural disaster in early November 2023. He presented Uyanik and Orkun with plaques bearing the motto of Isperih and paintings depicting the temple of Saint Demir Baba.

Earlier Monday, Uyanik and Orkun held a meeting with the regional governor of Targovishte, Gyursel Hasanov, and his deputy, Gergana Tsoneva.
