As of January 1, 2025, users of the New Bulgarian University Library have licensed access to JSTOR's Archive Collections and Primary Sources Collections, the NBU said on Monday.
The New Bulgarian University's JSTOR digital library attracts interest from more than 13,000 schools, universities and institutions worldwide.
Archive Collections contains full-text articles from 2,800 academic journals in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. Titles are published by 1,200 publishers from 57 countries.
Primary Sources includes Global Plants, 19th Century British Pamphlets, Struggles for Freedom: Southern Africa, World Heritage Sites: Africa and Teaching with primary sources.
Global Plants is a collection of nearly three million high-resolution plant specimens and related materials.
19th Century British Pamphlets contains 19th century British pamphlets held in university libraries across the UK. Nearly 26,000 pamphlets have been digitized from collections at seven UK universities.
Struggles for Freedom: Southern Africa includes 190,000 pages of periodicals, pamphlets, local newspapers, UN documents, nationalist publications, speeches, interviews and images. The collection focuses on the complex and diverse struggles for liberation in the region, with an emphasis on Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
World Heritage Sites: Africa contributes to studies in anthropology, archaeology, architecture, art history, geography, history and literature, as well as those focused on geomatics, historic preservation, urban planning, visual and spatial technologies.
Teaching with primary sources offers training with primary sources, images and multimedia content that increase engagement and build visual literacy.
