The conditions for tourism in the mountains are poor on Wednesday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross reported to BTA.
In the higher parts of the mountains the weather is windy, there is fog, it is cloudy and it is snowing.

Most facilities are working in the resorts.

Mountain rescuers have not registered any incidents in the last 24 hours.

The MRS again recommends that tourists monitor the weather forecasts, not underestimate the conditions in the mountains, and not overestimate their own capabilities.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology issued a second-level warning (orange code) for significant snowfall and rain in nine regions in the country. The orange code is for settlements in the regions of Vratsa, Gabrovo, Lovech, Montana, Pleven, Ruse, Smolyan, Sofia region and Targovishte.
