Bulgarian Ognian Gavrilov was named "Lawyer of the Year" during a ceremony in California's capital, Sacramento, organized by the Sacramento County Bar Association. This was announced by the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles on its Facebook page.

In addition to being a successful and respected lawyer, Gavrilov is an honorary consul of Bulgaria in Northern California and Silicon Valley, the Bulgarian mission noted.

Ognian Gavrilov is the managing shareholder of the law firm Gavrilov & Brooks, whose clients include Fortune 500 companies, banks, government organizations, international corporations, small businesses and individuals.

Often awarded and recognized for his professional achievements and contributions to the Sacramento community, Gavrilov has been active in organizing significant initiatives and events for the Bulgarian community in various cities along the West Coast of the United States, the Bulgarian diplomatic mission said.

Since 2022, Gavrilov has been the chairman of the non-governmental organization Bulgarian Foundation for Arts, Culture and Education (BgFACE), which gathers prominent representatives of the Bulgarian community on the West Coast, the statement said.
