The municipality of Samokov, a major winter sport and resort area in Southwestern Bulgaria, is being presented to the public in the Turkish capital Ankara in December.

Billboards on the fence of the Bulgarian Embassy on Ataturk Boulevard in the central Cankaya district present views and landmarks of the town of Samokov, Mt Rila and the ski resorts of Borovets and Malyovitsa.

The Borovets resort is already well-known to many Turkish people. It is being advertised in Ankara on the eve of the new ski season.

Bulgarian ski resorts have become increasingly popular among Turkish tourists and winter sport fans in recent years.
