Bulgaria expresses its firm support for the heroic people of Ukraine in their struggle for freedom, independence, peace and prosperity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on X Tuesday on the occasion of 1,000 days since the start of the war in Ukraine.

"A #1000Days of unrelenting Russian terror have not broken the indomitable Ukrainian spirit and courage. Bulgaria  stands resolute in its unwavering support for the heroic people of Ukraine  in their struggle for freedom, independence, peace and prosperity. Justice shall prevail!" the post reads.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address the European Parliament (EP) on the occasion of the 1,000th anniversary of the start of the Russian military attack on his country. EP President Roberta Metsola has called an extraordinary sitting on Tuesday, and the Ukrainian President's address is expected to be delivered by video message.
