MPs of the Yes, Bulgaria party (part of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria coalition), submitted an alert to the State Agency for National Security (SANS) for illegal provision of consular services by Russia in Varna, the press center of the political force reported on Monday. A journalistic investigation last week had revealed that a party headquarters in the seaside city was being used "to carry out consular services," despite the fact that the Russian consulate there was closed in October 2023, the statement added.

"Providing consular services in a party headquarters contradicts the principle of political non-alignment of diplomatic missions", MPs from Yes, Bulgaria said. They insist on a check and taking the necessary legal action if the information is confirmed.
