Teachers and students from schools in the Taraclia region completed the linguistic practice of learning standard Bulgarian in Bulgaria. The educational programme included lectures on Bulgarian language, literature, traditional art, as well as a trip to Veliko Tarnovo and a walk through the historical sites of Ruse, on the Danube.

A total of 54 students between ninth and twelfth grade and four teachers from schools and lyceums from Taraclia, Tvarditsa and the villages of Korten and Valia-Perzei were awarded in the meeting room of the Rector's Office of the University of Ruse. The vice-rector for educational work of the University of Ruse, Professor Feodor Iliev, also told the students about the university's opportunities and explained the application process, tuk.md reported Friday.

The linguistic practice is organized in accordance with a decree of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers aiming to support educational activities among Bulgarian diaspora. Bulgarian language and literature lecturers from the Department of Bulgarian Language, Literature and Arts, as well as specialists from the Department of Foreign Languages of the University of Ruse participate in its implementation.

Ruse University holds at least two such training courses annually.
