site.btaBulgarians Win 18 Medals at U16 Artistic Gymnastics Tournament in Thessaloniki
Bulgarian athletes won 18 medals - 6 gold, 9 silver and 3 bronze - at the Horizon Cup International Artistic Gymnastics Tournament for juniors and pre-juniors in Thessaloniki, Greece.
In the U16 boys' event, Nasko Mikov took silver in the floor final with 12.500 points, and in the U12 boys' event, Nikola Grechki took bronze in the floor competition with 11.100 points. On vault Mikov was champion with 13.050 points and on parallel bars he was second with 12.200.
In the under-12 girls, Kristin Krasteva was second in the all-around with 41.850 points, and in the 11-year-olds, Bilyana Baneva took gold with 43.700 points.
In the vault final, Jovana Petrova took silver in the 15-year-old category, Tsveti Gercheva was first in the 14-year-old category and Kristin Krusteva was second. On the same apparatus Ivayla Ilieva was third at the age of 12, and Bilyana Baneva took the title in the 11-year-olds.
On the mixed parallel bars 12 years old Magdalena Arsenova was second, and Ivayla Ilieva was next. Baneva was first on this apparatus in the 11 years category.
Kristin Krasteva took silver on beam and ground in the 14-year-olds, Valeria Hinkova (12 years) was second on ground, and Baneva won the gold again.
