site.btaOdesa Region Hit by Guided, Ballistic Missiles
Some ten guided missiles and two ballistic missiles were fired at Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Zatoka, Ukraine, between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, local Telegram channels reported.
Targets were hit in Zatoka in the Odesa region’s Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, according to reports on Telegram. Official confirmation is still pending. The strikes appeared to primarily focus on Zatoka.
Local authorities urged people to take shelter until the air raid alert is lifted.
Odesa region is home to the third largest community of expatriate Bulgarians, numbering more than 150,000 people, according to the official 2001 census in Ukraine. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the regional capital, Odesa. Bulgarians in the region are concentrated in the districts of Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
