For a third year running, the Varna University of Economics participates in the International Education Fairs of Türkiye (IEFT). This year the event started in the Turkish capital Ankara and will continue in Izmir and Istanbul (October 20 - 27).
On Sunday, the Varna University of Economics was represented at the exhibition in the Sheraton Hotel in Ankara, which was visited by many students and their parents. Yordanka Georgieva, coordinator of foreign students at the International Department of the University of Economics - Varna, told BTA that many people visited the exhibition, adding that Varna University was the only Bulgarian higher education institution represented at the event in the Turkish capital.
There is interest from Turkish prospective students, especially in the programmes that are in English - business and management, international business.We offer four undergraduate programs that are in English, and four graduate programs.
There is also interest from current students at Turkish universities who could continue their education in our university's master's programs (also in English), she told BTA.
People are interested because we - like almost all European universities - are included in the Erasmus+ programme and offer our students to the opportunity of participating in exchange programmes with European universities. This was something that interested a lot of future students, Georgieva said.
She added that the Varna University of Economics will also participate in the events in Izmir and Istanbul editions of IEFT.
