site.btaPolice Officers Arrest Georgian Citizen for Illegally Transporting 44 Migrants
A Georgian citizen driving a van on the Trakia motorway was arrested by the police after he was found transporting illegal aliens without identity documents, said the Sofia Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry on Wednesday.
During the inspection of the van, the police officers found 44 men, who identified themselves as Afghans.
Pre-trial proceedings were initiated by the Samokov District Prosecutor's Office.
