site.btaState Aviation Operator Ready to Take Off for Lebanon as Part of Bulgarians' Evacuation
A crew of the State Aviation Operator is ready to take off for Lebanon as soon as they have the green light to fly, the governmental press service reported on Monday morning. Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev has been briefed on the operation, which will start the phased evacuation of Bulgarians.
Other options for the evacuation of Bulgarians from Beirut are also considered. Priority for evacuation will be given to families with children and vulnerable groups, a meeting called by Glavchev decided on Sunday.
The Foreign Ministry urged Bulgarian citizens to stop all travel to Lebanon and to leave the country immediately. In case of need for assistance, Bulgarian nationals in the Republic of Lebanon can contact the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Beirut at the following number: +961 5 453 658, as well as emergency telephone numbers during non-working hours: +961 81 302 552; +961 76 697 766.
