site.btaIvan Simeonov Wins Gold Medal at Podgorica European Cup 2024

Ivan Simeonov won a gold medal at the Senior European Cup 2024 for men in Podgorica (Montenegro).

The Bulgarian won in in the category up to 60 kilograms, achieving four victories, and in the final he prevailed over the Serbian Marko Jorgic.

Before that, Simeonov defeated German Benjamin Howard, then Rashko Angelovic (Serbia), and in the semi-final he also won agains against Norwegian  Egilsten Amarasekara.

In the same category, Lyuboslav Grigorov lost his first fight.

On Sunday, Georgi Konev (81 kg) and Kristiyan Tsvetanov (over 100 kg), as well as Gabriela Dimitrova and Alexa Georgieva in the 52 kg category, will compete on the mat.

A total of 248 competitors from 29 countries participate in the tournament.
