European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen gathered her future team of European Commissioners at a meeting in Brussels on Wednesday evening. "Getting to know each other is the basis of good cooperation. I was glad to see that they are all very motivated and focused ahead of the hearings," she wrote on X.

"I think we are going to make a great team for Europe," she also wrote.

The EC President presented the draft composition and structure of the future Commission in Strasbourg on Tuesday. The list is expected to be approved by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU so that dates can be set for the Commissioners-designate's hearings. The new composition of the EC is expected to start working on December 1.
