Two Air Force Pilots Who Died in Graf Ignatievo Tragedy Promoted Posthumously

The two pilots who were killed in a September 13 military aircraft crash near the Graf Ignatievo Air Base were promoted in rank posthumously on Wednesday by order of caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov, the Defence Ministry reported on its website.

Major Petko Dimitrov, Head of Flying Practice Planning and Reporting at the Dolna Mitropoliya Air Base, was promoted to lieutenant colonel.

Senior Lieutenant Ventsislav Dunkin, a junior expert in Flying, Rescue and Flight Simulation Training at the Dolna Mitropoliya Air Base, was promoted to captain.
