site.btaQuake Measuring 4.1 on Richter Scale Registered in Eastern Turkiye

An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale was registered in Eastern Turkiye at 9:57 on Friday. It was epicentred in the city of Refahiye, Erzincan District, at a depth of 9.58 km, the government's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority reported. 

The earthquake caused panic. There currently is no information about injured people and damages.

Erzincan is located in a seismic area. A 7.8-quake was registered there in 1939, and a 6.8- quake in 1992.
