On the Day of the Unification of Bulgaria, September 6, Vice President Iliana Iotova will open a round table and a thematic exhibition on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the publication of Petar Beron’s Fish Primer (the first textbook in Bulgarian), the Consulate General in Barcelona said on its official website.
The anniversary is included in UNESCO's calendar of significant events to be celebrated this year. The forum will be opened by Vice President of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova, a special guest of the event, the Bulgarian diplomatic mission said.
The round table and the exhibition dedicated to Bulgarian literature are organized by the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT) in Sofia with the support of the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Barcelona, the association of Bulgarians in Barcelona "St. George", the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria, the Bulgarian National Library and the Royal Artistic Circle of Barcelona.

The thematic exhibition is composed of panels, multimedia and copies of old printed manuscripts. During the event, honorary awards of the ULSIT will be presented to people who have made a significant contribution to the development of Bulgarian culture in Spain, the Consulate General of Bulgaria also said.
On the same day, on the occasion of Unification Day, the diplomatic mission organizes a meeting of Vice President Iotova with the Bulgarian community.
It will take place at 7 pm at the headquarters of the Royal Artistic Circle in Barcelona.
The event will be followed by informal talks and a glass of wine. All Bulgarian citizens wishing to participate in the meeting with the Vice President are welcome, the Bulgarian diplomatic mission also said.
