The Peter Erskine Quartet will have a concert on October 15 at Sofia Live Club, the organizer and host of the event announced.

Peter Erskine is recognized as a true American jazz legend, his name is synonymous with innovation and exceptional talent. He began his career at the age of four, but his true legendary status came with Weather Report, alongside some of the biggest names in jazz - Jaco Pastorius and Joe Zawinul. Making some of the most iconic recordings in jazz music history, he became a key member of the group during the golden age of the Fusion Band, recording five albums, including the famous Grammy-winning concert album 8.30. In 2023, with the Peter Erskine Trio feat. Alan Pasqua & Darek Oles project, Erskine was nominated for a Grammy with the album Live in Italy.

Erskine has performed several times in this country, and is known for his work with Milcho Leviev.

Alan Pasqua, Grammy Award nominee and Professor of Jazz at the University of Southern California (USC), is a world-class pianist. He has worked with Tony Williams, Paul Motian, Dave Holland, Michael Brecker, and Stanley Clarke.

Darek Oles, a native of Wroclaw, Poland, is one of the most sought-after double bassists on the West Coast of the United States. He has played with Brad Mehldau, Billy Higgins, Pat Metheny, and Charles Lloyd.

Bob Mintzer is a saxophonist, arranger and educator known for his 30-year career with the Yellowjackets and as principal conductor of the WDR Big Band in Cologne, Germany. He has won numerous awards and accolades. He has written over 500 big band arrangements and performed on over 1,000 recordings.
