site.btaInternational Philosophy Conference to Take Place in Burgas in September

An international philosophy conference on "The Pain of Our Modern Spirit" will be held in the Black Sea city of Burgas between September 4 and 7. The event is organized by the Philosophers of Burgas Club, the Burgas Municipality’s press service said.

The event is expected to be attended by students and professors of philosophy from universities in Bulgaria, Belgium, Spain, and China.

Participants had until April to submit their presentations on the topic. They were invited to send two to three sentences of a stanza, a bible verse, an excerpt of a fiction text, song lyrics, an aphorism, or a maxim, and then provide up to five pages of arguments in support of their choice.

The conference in September will offer a wrap-up and a presentation of the papers submitted and a printed collection of selected phrases and papers from the conference.

The Philosophers of Burgas Club is an organization that brings together philosophers, theologians, psychologists, historians, priests, lecturers, and scholars with PhDs from various international universities.
